25th & Welton is simple street running station located on the Central Corridor Line, Denver's original Light Rail Line that opened in 1994. The stop is located at street level on the single-track line down the SE side of Welton Street through the Five Points Neighborhood. The platform is between 24th and 25th Streets. The main platform consists is between the car lanes and the line's single track. A block south of the station, just before the tracks cross 24th Street is where this branch becomes single tracked. The only notable station furniture are some awnings at either end of the platform covering the two ADA mini-high platforms (one for service in each direction) a small bench, and a TVM beyond the mini-high. The sidewalk area is so narrow that the both ramps run away from the station to provide access. Trains also open their doors on the other side of this platform (trains open doors on both sides) where the sidewalk simply receives a tactile warning strip.
